Most college students face the inevitable question during their studies, “What will I do after completing my studies?”. The exploration process may be a pleasant experience or a daunting task as various options may come to mind. Of these options, an internship serves as a stepping stone for gaining work experience.
We recently welcomed the first group of PHA4GE media interns who are navigating their way through health journalism. This issue of the newsletter features their writings on current PHA4GE activities.
Zenande and Nurul give us updates on some of the PHA4GE sub-grantees that are working on SARS-CoV-2, and ethics and data sharing projects, respectively. Cavil gives an opinion piece on antimicrobial resistance, while Siyamthanda looks into the practice of Birds of a Feather in the field of bioinformatics. Gabrielle leads on a piece of a bioinformatics training held by one of our partner organisations, Africa CDC.
