We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Episode 10 of the PHA4GE Genomic Horizons Webinar Series, featuring a talk by Dr. Robert Beiko from Dalhousie University. Join us as we delve into the fascinating topic of “Different strategies to predict antimicrobial resistance in Enterococcus“.

Dr. Beiko is a Professor and Head of the Algorithms and Bioinformatics research cluster in the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University. His research aims to understand microbial diversity and evolution using machine learning, phylogenetics, time-series algorithms, and visualization techniques. His group is developing software tools and pipelines to comprehensively survey genes and mobile genetic elements in bacterial genomes, and understand how these genomes have been shaped by vertical inheritance, recombination, and lateral gene transfer. He is also a co-founder of Dartmouth Ocean Technologies, Inc., a developer of environmental DNA sampling devices.

The webinar will take place on 14 June 2023 at 15:00 UTC and will last for approximately one hour. To register, simply click on the following link:
